Blanket for fun and/or emergency (prototype), 2001 recycled wool, cotton, yarn and video collaborative project by Hristina Ivanoska and Yane Calovski produced for Everything Matters* Blanket is designed to function as a protective layer for its users while at the same time operating as an experiment in social interaction and practical utility. The piece can be "performed" in various situations-domestically or publicly-where it will adapt to the natural dynamic of the given situation/landscape. Created as a prototype, Blanket is collaged from generic merchandise/objects created from recycled materials that are extremely durable but relatively inexpensive. It can be and should be altered by its users. *Everything Matters is an interdisciplinary project dedicated
to creating an interactive space for the development of sculptural prototypes
with a potential for mass production. |
