installation [3 shirts, texts]

Three identical white shirts burned with an iron at identical spot are hung on the wall.  The collar labels carry the graphic signatures [copies 1/3, 2/3, 3/3, the name and the year].  Above each shirt a text is hung: the first text is an extract from Martin Eden by Jack London - Martin helps his landlady in her ironing, and with that she begins to think less of him, from an artist he became someone equal to her; the second text is a short anecdote about my father, telling how my aunt admitted that his ironing is better than hers – with what he loses something of his machismo; the third text is my short statement on the fact that I do not like to iron – with what I loses from my decent appearance.  In this work I tried to converge everyday situations that result with imprints to the orthodox graphic art, grafting onto these situations some principles typical for the graphic art.

* Ironman - a competition and a title in triathlon – maybe one of the most difficult sport disciplines ever.
