the exhibition Image box should assume a theme pursued through a medium which is characterized with specific nature of unlimited
possibilities for exploration of the artistic expressiveness;
it is set out in a theme which represents a wide choice of motives (box of image), but also a theme which at the same time defines a
specific area (electronic medium);
it is confined to possibilities of electronic image, computer, electronic shaft, screen, tv box
and
is determined by voluminosity of the space.

6. performings
the exhibition Image box divides several aspects of treatment of the pointed out medium by the defined theme. they move along in a
wide span of appearing forms, already established on the foreign artistic scene, but not present in such volume and quality on the local
stage. the exhibition Image box acknowledges a potential which was latent or incapacitated.
of particular importance is a moment when authors who do not characterize themselves with creating in this medium show (because of
their attitude toward creative work in general) completion and encirclement, backed with a clear realization of visualized idea and
coherent juncture of technological and artistic.
exceptionally important is the moment when authors who have been exploring possibilities of this medium for a long time yet, accom-
plish defined artistic structure which gives a complete impression of supremacy over artistic materials (whether it be technology or
manner). the way it appears, the exhibition Image box contains nearly all artistic forms of acting in the cited medium.

7. approaches
the distance appearing between the projects and the performings necessarily posts the question for the concluding of the authors idea
when speaking about of this kind of achievements. the exhibition Image box as on ordered exhibition (the essence of the annual exhibi-
tions of the soros center for contemporary arts), is define as a field of experiment in the ranges of a given medium. in such conditions
the apparatus of intercomparativeness is set aside. the basic category relevant to the grading of these performings is set to the level of
successfulness of the posting of the given medium in the context of the determined theme.
the different approaches of the authors towards concluding of this connection post the differentness of the image box on two levels:
inside (in it) and outside (from it).
- the poles of this dichotomy post the recipient in active and passive position / condition. the first grasps the field in which the recipient
(possibly also the Subject) is led to being the part of it (not by his will), and the second post him in a position / condition in which he
suffers (again not by his will); the first makes it possible that he changes, where as the second forces him to be changed.
- the poles of this dichotomy signify the space in which the image box is achieved: the occupying of the entire space defines the interior,
where as the reduction of space the exterior. the contradictorness of this aspect leads to a condition in which the images (from the box)
of the first are inside, where as outside with the second.
- the poles of this dichotomy consider also the problem of the relationship inside-outside. actually, this relationship appears as
selfdestroying: the interior exists as exterior or the exterior does not exist if the interior exist not too. in this sense only one element -
mutual to all of the performings - the monitor (as a carrier element of the transmission) appears as a bordering element (or connector-
disconnector) in-between this two fields.
the successfulness of the selection of the acts and their accomplishment in these ranges through the clinging whether to the fine-artistic,
or to the conceptual aspects, finally define the successfulness of the performings of this exhibition.

8. scene
if one takes any aspect of interpretations of the performing on the exhibition Image box, an impression that Macedonian scene incorpo-
rated presence of current procedures, condition of containment of categories and high-quality level.
the exhibition Image box, albeit of no pretensions to do that, leaves significant mark in the notebook of happenings, and not only in the
yesteryear.
