LAIKA THE TRUE STORY

Conceived especially for the occasion of the international Web Page project Refresh. (A Multi-Nodal Web-Surf-Create-Session for an Unspecified Number of Players) 'Refresh', the friendly web-design frenzy set on Sunday 6 October, 18.00-22.00hrs CET. The Refresh loop slowly grew until 6 Oct., when designs have been changed or downloaded onto other people's pages, changed and placed onto ones own server, or changed page have been included on the original server.This European web pages (result of the work of various electronic arts centres) have been included in the project .

Laika - the true story links to metaphor of the computer network and its omnipresence.Laika - the symbol of scientific progress is once more used to signify advancements in various fields and its repercussions ...
