PROGRAMS: Projects Outside of SCCA

 

This program refers to the re-examination and changing of the up-to-date program activities of SCCA in the framework of SVAG. The re-examinations changing impose themselves as a necessity in regard to the state of the artistic scene and its needs.

SVAG (Soros Visual Art Grants)

SVAG 1: grants for catalogues of first solo exhibitions: it refers to the first exhibitions of young artists, which have not been graduation works, with an in advance determined amount of US$500 with out a selection.

Budget: US$ 5.000

SVAG 2: grants for catalogues of solo exhibitions: it refers to 10 grants for catalogues of solo exhibitions of artists up to 45 years of age in Macedonia, in the amount of US$ 1000.

Budget: US$ 10.000

(The Board of SCCA retains the right to invite artists older than this age limit.)

SVAG 3: grants for institutional international projects: it refers to the financing of catalogues for projects for the international presentation of the current Macedonian Fine Arts in institutions of a greater value for the international art scene (biennials, triennials, macro projects);

Budget: US$ 5.000

SVAG 4: grants for projects of artists or groups of artists outside of institutions: it refers projects of artists or groups of artists (among which students) outside of Institutions and Galleries, located in alternative spaces, behind which SCCA would stand organizationally and financially;

Budget: US$ 5.000

SVAG 5: grants for magazines: partial covering of printing expenses for magazines which are connected exclusively to the critic and theory of fine art;

Budget: US$ 5.000

SVAG 6: grants for emergency requests or requests outside of the annual concourse (decision of the Board);

Budget: US$ 2.000
