In
contrast to all of the confusion imposed by the happenings in Macedonia
and the region, Radmila Oncevska is using the old Japanese technique of
Origami. The Installation ”Dripping birds” consists of paper birds
coverd with tar and hanging on transparent frame. The birds are made of
paper in traditional Japanese technique known as origami. The birds which
are hanged on Plexiglas are covered with a thin layer of tar. The next
step of the project is intervention over the tar with sand, grass and soil
with idea to point natural continuity of these works with nature. The
gallery floor is covered with papers – newspapers as a symbol of (life
down on the earth) one imaginative city sprinkled with tar and sand.
